Innova Art sponsors first 'Print Quality Award' at the Fine Art Trade Guild's annual Awards

Innova Art are proud to announce their sponsorship of the Fine Art Trade Guild's first ever "Print Quality Award" for 2009. The award was conceived to recognise excellence in the giclée printing field which as had a huge impact on the Fine Art and Photographic industries in the last decade. It has changed the way artists and publishers reproduce original works of art, and has given the artist more control over publishing limited editions of their work.

With this in mind the criteria for the award was to reproduce an artists watercolour print - supplied by Kate Osborne of Artreo, on any combination of media, printer and scanner / camera chosen by the entrant. The entries were judged on their accuracy to the artwork supplied and print values such as colour matching, colour intensity, contrast and detail. Entrants also receive points if their prints are tested and meet the Guild's Print standard testing on the blue wool scale.

Innova Art are delighted to annouce the winner of this award for 2009 is Peter Hayton from Towngate Publications. The Award was presented at the annual awards ceremony held on 16th May at Brandon Hall in Coventry, UK.
