Hannah Gal is a well known digital artist, with an impressive list of exhibitions and commissions. Hannah started with a traditional fine art background, followed by an extensive experience as a photographer. She turned to computer technology as a way of extending her creative palette. She has been using the Innova range of artist grade papers since their launch.
"As an artist, I find that the materials I use are often a source of inspiration in themselves, whether they be paints, papers or application tools. The digital age has placed a great deal of new resources at the artists disposal. One such resource is the new generation of inexpensive inkjet printers. Used in combination with a purpose - designed artist grade paper such as the Innova range it is possible to achieve a great variety of artistic effects.
In my work texture is key. If you experiment with textures on screen you want a paper that not only inspires you to create new ones but also reproduces and enhances your original creations. As vivid as your texture is the wrong paper will make it look dull and lifeless. A high quality textured paper will, on the other hand, create perfect harmony between image and print. I've found that the Innova Digital range has brought out qualities in the images that previous surfaces have never touched."
